Place watermelon in a cocktail shaker and crush with a muddler; add ice cubes and vodka.
Cover shaker and shake well.
Strain cocktail into a martini glass.
1 slice watermelon, rind removed
1/2 cup ice cubes, or as needed
1 (1.5 fluid ounce) jigger vodka
